I am looking for information on Farmall H's. The h has an extra push rod or control on the right hand side of the control/steering pedestal, I think tht it is maybe a creeper gear, but I have read about heisler transmissions with a control rod and wonder how I tell the difference. Also, I would like any information on both, numbers, pictures, diagrams, brochures, etc. any help would be appreciated.

Do you happen to have an attachment like this in place of the belt pulley?

The Heisler 9 speed shift lever is mounted on the left front of the transmission cover near the clutch pedal with linkage running forward and entering the transmission case on the left side of the tractor. I have never seen one but have heard the later version of the M&W 9 speed had a shift lever in lieu of the earlier shifter cable which looks like a lawnmower throttle cable with a big knob on the end. Hope this somehow helps with your understanding, Hal.

The attachment pictured (not very clearly) is what I believe to be a rotary hoe gearbox. It provides a drive speed between 4th and 5th gears.

To engage the gearbox, push in the clutch, put trans. into neutral, engage the lever on the gearbox (pulling backwards) and ease out on the clutch. Once engaged, it essentially acts as a gear reduced direct drive which operates off the belt pulley gear.

If this is what you have, congratulations you have a rarity. I have done hours of research and have only seen two other than mine and know of a gentleman, I believe in Nebraska, who owns one as well. The other two I have seen were both off M Farmalls and were both sold on EBAY. One brought over $600 about 3 years ago and the other in pretty poor condition brought I think $280.
