Rear weight bolts

Going to add a second set of rear weights to my SH . What is the bolt size and length? I know this is old ground but searching isnt working out too well for me. Anyone know off-hand?

I think you need to be on the John Deere board with that answer. The answer you gave, or "get a manual" just burns me up. That is what this forum is here for, to share information. I am sure if he had a parts book, then he would not bother asking for any help.

here is how i done my c using the same size bolts that bolt to the wheel center

It's online. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for life. He said he tried searching himself so I figured I would guide him to where he could find it.

They use 8 3/4"-10NC x 3-3/4"

But he is right. It IS in the parts book, and I'm not so sure it isn't covered somewhat in the owners manual as well.

So your first grade math teacher should've just given you the answer when you didn't know 2+2 off the top of your head, then? IIRC, instead of giving you the answer, she taught you how to figure it out for yourself.

Geez guys ! 3/4 by 3 3/4 was all I was really after ! lol I tried searching these achives for that info but I never have had luck doing that so much.

I wasn't trying to start a fight with you. I just wanted you to know that stuff like that was in the parts book. Just about every single bolt has a size and length given in the parts book. If it isn't called out on it's own it is listed under the part it is holding on.

IIRC my second set bolts didn't work out quite right. I think they were a little short??? I don't really remember. You may want to just get 4" bolts. It might be what you are stuck buying anyhow.

I realise that it is all probably in there, but just firing out the question to the guys who know off the top of their head is easier and quicker many times, and in fact, your personal experience and recommending using 4 inchers isnt even in the parts book .... and may prove to be better info !

I can appreciate you trying to teach and guide him. However, you never provided any links or help at all until I after I said something. All he did was ask a question he did not know, and he even attempted to find the answer before posting here. Thank you for providing the help he needed on the second round.

He has been around YT since Aug 12, 2010. Online parts books shouldn't be a suprise. Since you brought it up, don't forget about JDParts for your JD needs.

Those join dates are about as accurate as what comes out of external_link's mouth. Just like it says I joined in '03, but I have been around here posting since '97 shortly after the site was created. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

I think it is when they switched to an acutal Username Password setup. I hear you though, but my guess would be the newer the date is the more accurate it is. Maybe

I like the  bama comment.
