Farmall B block, Cracked? Photos

We pulled the head and number one sleve today, and we also found what looks like a crack between #2 and 3. (see photos). What do you guys think, and what do we have for options?

definitly a crack, but its not critical. have seen many engines with a crack between cyl's. pistons and sleeves look good from top. did you pull head for a reason? put it together with new gskt. and it will be fine. but if you want to spend money it can be welded and remachined.biggest thing is make sure the sleeves are not cracked.

yes, we pulled the head because we were gitting water in the oil. however, before we pulled the head, we pulled the pan, and saw water physically dripping from around number 1 (the oring is poor). I'm just about to order some new orings from this site.

This is normal on AC engines and I have put
Many of them together with no.2 permatex on head gaskets and NEVER had a leaker.

perfect, but dont forget to use permatex sealer on gskt, as its oil and gas resistant. copper coat is not .

Be sure to clean that block area where the old seals are installed. Use a drill motor with a wire brush to clean off the rust and scale. Then vacuum the crud. Hal
