766 international tach

I started installing a dt466 from a truck with the inline injection pump in my 766. I have installed the motor with the truck injection pump and would like to run the factory tach if possible. The inline pump is not set up to allow for the gear used in the tractor pump for the tach. Is there another way to get the tach working with this set up?

food for thought... brother inlaw installed a truck motor cummins in his versatile 4x4 and truck pump would not work properly with tractor... something with fueling problem. he had to use the original tractor pump.
