what engine oil should i run in my farmalls year around and how can i test a 6 volt mag or the coil and also what hydalic oil should i use in my h

Run your favorite 10W30 or 10W40 oil in the engine.

There is no such thing as a "6 volt mag." Magnetos need no battery power.

Use CaseIH Hytran or an oil marked as equivalent in the H.

Does your mag have a coil mounted out side or is it still under the cap on top. Best way to check for spark just pull a sparkplug and put the wire back on and make sure the plug is grounded and you can see the spark that way you wont get a shock.

or, just hold onto one of the plug wires and crank her over. You will know soon enough if the mag is good or not! To Gene's point, I have accidentally tested a few mags that way over the years. There is absolutely NO DOUBT using my method! :wink:
