When you guys replace rotten boards do you drill new holes in rail and screw down.Or do you drill our old screws and crawl under to mark new boards. Thanks Bill P.S. I am 71 don't want any extra exercise. |

| try to extract the screw. if you cant break it off or cut it off with a sawzall. then when you put new boards in just get some heavy self tapping screws from lowes. no need to drill a new hole. |

| jobs like that I use good
self drilling TeK screws
no holes needed, and they go into frame steel easily |

| I also used galvanized carriage bolts instead of self tapping screws. |

| I've always drilled new holes. those frame rails will take a few replacement holes and not lose any perceptible strength. to make drilling the metal easier, get yourself some cutting oil. it makes a big difference in my experience. |
