SC engine pistons

Did Farmall ever produce a SC with any piston other than a flat-head piston? I can see where FireDome pistons might increase the HP, but do they and if so, by how much? Is the lower bearing of a FireDome piston identical to a flat-head piston?

We have a SC with 5000ft. altitude (domed)pistons.I believe 8000 ft. pistons were also available.I have an F-12 with the 8000ft piston.

Did the SC come from the factory like that?

Yes,It and the F12 were delivered new to 8000ft. hi-altitude Gunnison,Co.

I also have an SC with the 5K piston, also has the rockford clutch I can't remeber the letter codes on the SN plate, might be D and J
Its a 53 model with a fast hitch
