M Oil

How many quarts. Can't rememeber.

Always have used low ash, but its $105 at the IH dealer. Low ash is 30WT right?

Whats a good oil other than low ash from IH??

This will be the 3rd oil change since the overhaul and i tractor pull with it.

i run 15-40 rotella, works just fine. cant remember how many quarts, maybe 8? fill er till it runs out the petcock.

8 quarts. 15-40 Chevron Delo in everything I own. I have several fresh Farmall engines. All have been broke in and doing fine with Delo.

Forget the low ash, it wasn't invented when IH built your M. Any detergent oil, any brand, is vastly superior to the original oil.
