Running rough at times

I have a 130 that runs good and runs rough from time to time. Any thoughts on fixing would be appreciated. Thanks

My first check would be water or trash in the float bowl. If it is there, there might be more in the tank. A worn set of points can also do it. If it happens after running for an hour or so, and the coil is very hot when checked, It could be the coil. Jim

Pull the carb drain plug and let it drain for a couple minutes. Catch the gas so as to look for water/rust/dirt. Also check your spark it needs to be a blue/white and jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Either one or both can cause you problems

Have you pulled the plugs and then lay them in order so you know which one is #1 see how they compare that will tell you a lot from a bad wire to a bad cycl or even the tappets not set very well. I would do it before spending money on parts as you can put lots of new stuff on and never realy find the problem also do a compression check while the plugs are out. You dont need a high reading but you do want them within range of each other.
