Do I have blown head gasket

I went to cut hay tonight with my 300U. While hooking it up it blew some water out of the radiator. Didn't know what happened but everything else seemed OK. Started cutting and the temp gauge started to peg, then blew out some more water. I stopped, unhooked and headed for the house. Temp went down quickly and tractor ran OK. Got to the house and tractor started running poorly and has white smoke from exhaust. Is that a blown head gasket. If so its a first for me. Anything I should look for that would cause it. Engine was rebuilt in early 90's with new sleeves, pistons and head rebuilt professionally. It doesn't get a lot of hours each year - mostly on haybine and some brush hogging.

that what it sounds like, could be a cracked head too. But most likely the gasket bit it.

You figured it out water is getting into the cylinders. I'd pray for a head gasket, not that a bad head gasket is great but it's a lot better than the other possibilities (cracked head, block or leaking sleeve seals)
