Is this part still to be had?

Took apart my priority flow devider on my 400. This plunger shows some wear, but not like I thought it would. The spring that holds tention on it was 1/2 longer than the spring in another one i took apart. I would guess the longer (tighter) spring would be right. I'm wondering if this could be my "no power steering" problem due to blow by. Can they still be had? Also, does that grove on the end suppost to have an O ring?

The wear and gauling shown is sure going to bypsaa control. There is also wear on the bore, It is not repairable. I would find a good used, or (easy enough) use a honda car steering pump and remote reservoir 88 to 92 civic should be a good start. Jim

simple part to make from the looks of it.

Might even try a local school's machine shop if you want to give a kid something interesting to do.

I sent you a post to your ? a couple of days ago ,there is a company in NE that rebuilds and replacement parts give them a call

No, Steel Wheel Ranch is in northeast Kansas--they might know where it can be rebuilt.

You could get that piston but I don't know where I wrote the part # down. Most dealers won't know it. It maybe discontiued by now though. That piston is in bad shape for that system. Take it and the housing to a good hydraulic repair shop and they can make another piston and hone the bore for a good fit. Some can spray metal on the piston and then true up and fit to block. Or you can get one with the machine work already done (S.W.R). Don't rely on this but my memory says around .0008 was a good piston to bore clearance. Look on the block for a casting #. Some suffix R1 block parts don't interchange with R2 blocks. Probably why you have different length springs unless one is shot.

Hi...
Looks like part number 377204r1. No longer available from the dealer. I had a 340 that used the same part and I bought a few of them ( new old stock) from a outfit that had "obsolete " parts. Let me know if your interested. Email is open.

The civic pump was a good start, right up to the part where the rotation was backwards. I found that out 38 bucks and some time and fabrication later.
