About an hour in Muriactic acid will make it look like new.

If the cast components are stripped of all non iron parts and bushings it will work well. If not stripped, the process will sure eat those parts for lunch. Jim

NO NO NO!!! Do NOT immerse that carburetor in muriatic acid. The acid will totally destroy that tiny little BRASS orifice that the high speed idle adjustment screw seats into. That brass orifice in an H carb is obsolete, no longer available, and CANNOT be removed from a used carburetor without destroying it.
