Diagnosing a Non-Starter

So I re-wired my Super C and everything is fine, until it won't start. Starter spins, checked the spark by pulling the spark plug wires and pulling the starter ring, one at a time. No spark anywhere. Spark plug wires show 1.8 ohms' resistance, as does the terminals across the coil. Any ideas? What am I missing? (two-part question. And yes, there is gas in the tank). Thank you for any assistance.

If you have a distribuor you need to have your points open and with the ignition switch in the on position use a test lite or volt meter and see if there's voltage to your coil. If there's no voltage check the ignition switch to see if there voltage on terminal feeding voltage to your coil. If there's no voltage here check the terminal on your switch that feeds battery voltage to your switch. If you have voltage to your switch replace the switch. If there's no voltage to your ignition switch you either have a bad connection or a broken wire. If you have voltage to your coil take some 320 wet or dry and rub the points until they're shiny. Then see if the engine will start. Hal

You did not say anything about turning on the switch. The starter will run anytime you pull the rod, but there will be no power to the coil.
