What r your thoughts on pulling a 4 row planter with a 350 utility. Would be an older planter like a 490 or a ih 56 pretty level ground

We used the B Farmall on the 490 so the 350 should pull it but low to the ground and wide front wouldnt be my choice.

I used to pull a 4 row 56 with a M in the hills and had no problem. You may have to watch how full you fill your fertlizer boxes. I would give it a try and see how things go.

I have an IH 44 planter cut down to 2 rows from 4. I pull it with a Cub and it doesn't know it's back there. It would easily pull it if it was still a 4 row.

we used to use 350U with our 56 planter for many years no issues with pulling it, only lifting it if you fill the fertilizer boxes and everything clear up.

Should be no problem. I've pulled an IH56 with a Farmall H, though the M handled it better on a hill. You will need ballast in the rear tires if the fertilizer boxes are full.
