450 crankshaft nut

What size socket do I need for the nut on a 450 crankshaft? Need to borrow or buy one, want to replace the front seal. Thanks

2-1/2" hex.

A 3/4" drive, 2-1/2" truck wheel bearing locknut (stamped steel) socket will work fine. Ask someone who works on 4x4 trucks - he'll have one.

It wouldn't work on my 9. I had to use a pretty long pipe on mine. TSC offers the 3/4" socket for $25. I went and bought the HF 1" set because "I needed it"

Thanks guys, 2 1/2 it is, measure the nut what a great idea, no wonder I didn't think of that. Every thing changed, it went better than I thought it would.
