Bottom of shift lever needs to be reshaped -- someone on this forum has the dimensions.

Hang between gears, meaning hard to shift. That is an adjustment of the clutch and TA linkages. Your TA clutch is not releasing along with the main clutch.

Hang between gears, meaning getting stuck in two gears. That is a matter of building up the worn end of the shift lever, and/or shifting more carefully.

A little hard to explain -- get an I&T manual from Tractor Supply, etc, it has a good description. When you read it take the wear on the linkage, etc into consideration when reading the procedure--The TA clutch and the main clutch have to release properly, the TA clutch just a little later than full release of the main clutch. However I think you are stuck in two gears, independent of the TA.
