'39 M

I'm about to start on a '39 M restoration. It has a screwy looking aftermarket seat that I'd like to replace with the correct seat. Will the seat from a '39 H also work? I posted an ad in the wanted section looking for an M seat, but if I can expand my search to include one from an H, perhaps I'll have more luck.

yess an h is the same seat. i think i have an extra one i might sell.

Do you have a picture of the after market screwy looking seat? Does it look like this one?

yup.. looks just like that, only it has a plate in front of it to mount it to the '39 style platform.

The pic shows a newer tractor. That us not a 39. The 39 has an indent running the length of the middle. Also the gear shift pattern is stamped in teh plate by the shifter.
