Farmall gas gauge.

My 350 came with one of those in-tank gas gauges. The cork is in good shape and travels up the center rail. turning it as it does so.
But the needle under the glass does not move.
It appears there is a roll pin near the top. Is this repair doable at home? I have repaired a few speedometers, tachs and clocks.
Is there a shop that fixes these. Maybe the local watch repairman?

use a hand lense to see if the issue is outside the gauge or inside. If inside and looks to not come apart, I would have it fixed. If on the outside, I would try to fix it. I would also consider coating the cork with gas tank liner to keep it in the shape it is. Jim

If you have been in that kind of stuff I'd advise you to fix it yourself. All the other guy is going to do is break it. If you break it yourself you know who to blame.
