Have a B farmall that runs close to wide open and throttle does nothing how do I adjust or what do I look for? thanks for all the advice

First with the engine off take the pin out of the clevis going to the carb. Now open the throttle then see if holding the rod going to the carb open the pin will go back in if not then adjust the clevis. If that doesent solve the problem the gov should be removed and the bearing on the shaft mite need to be replaced. The bearing has three pieces a washer on each side of the bearing. Then theres a spring that mite be broke. that then should solve your problem if not remove the carb to see if the input lever has slipped loose getting the butterfly all out of whack.

Very hard to explain here since the I-T manual IH-8 has half a page explaining had to adjust/rebuild the gov. So what I am saying is the best thing you can do is buy the manual and if you have the manual then look at paragraph 155
