IH TD14A and IHTD9

Hi. We have recently purchased an elderly model of each of these tractors a TD9 and a TD14A. They both had a seriously hard working life but have not been used for many many moons. So we are about to start a major rebuild. Not knowing what we are going to come up against I'm checking around for parts and advice. My first question: - is there a source of engine parts specifically full engine rebuild kits available on the market initially for the TD14A. We know there are some around for the TD9. As usual any help or advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance Mike
 
Anything your find for a 14 is going to be NOS. Up until about a month ago there was no such thing as a new kit for a 9. Now some guy in Canada is reproducing them.

RPM has a construction forum that has tons of info on the machines. It will cost you $2000s in just parts for each engine. IMO there is no need to rebuild them unless they really need it.
 
Thanks for that. I surely not going to rebuild the engines unless there is no other way around it. At this stage just checking the situation.Do you have any more info on the guy in Canada producing kits for the 9. Mike
 
He has had the kits on eBay a couple times. $1600 IIRC and that is without any bearings. IHCScoutman on RPM had a post about the guy a while back. I would look him up for contact info. I think he is a friend of this guy.

I might have some spare 4.4" parts. I have a set of brand new rings for sure.
