F20 Front Engine Mount

Are there any tips for removing the front engine mount off an F-20 engine? The overhaul manual simply says remove it and has a photo of one after it was removed.

I have the engine on its side on the ground, with the crank pulley removed. By hitting the mounting bolt hole with a hammer, I can "rock" the engine mount side to side. I've tried to pull it with a large 2-way gear puller, but it doesn't want to move forward/off. I don't want to hit too hard with the hammer or crank too much on the gear puller for fear of breaking the mount.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

I agree it is probably just rusted, but could also have a bit of a lip worn in the cover. Just use a wire brush and clean it up as much as you can, keep spraying penetrating oil and moving it twisting it and you should be able to work it off.

Thanks Cowman and RobGin. I can move it about 40 degrees range of motion. This gave me clearance to get to all the bolts to pull the front engine cover with the engine mount still attached. But after several times back and forth it hasn't really gotten easier to move. Probably needs the lubricant to soak in longer, at least that's my guess.
