VanDerBrink Auction to be held on August 4th in Mabel, Minnesota. Bring a fairly large truck...

Not real unusual it is just an AV with the wrong decals. But I live 8 miles from this auction site, know the the owner. This unit looks as good in person as it does in the photo. There is going to be about 90 tractors on this auction, most in there work clothes. All brands, including two steam engines. Auction dates August 3&4th with start to hear them run on the 3rd along with free sweet corn & hot feed that evening.

In the above picture, the rockshaft is rotated back and the arm is hiding behind the steering shaft. It looks to me like a Super AV with the wrong decals.

Is the draw bar mounted that high for the purpose of clearing vegetation? Looks a little to high to do much grunt work or did the have a drop down attachment?

That is not the regular drawbar. It may be an incorrectly mounted cross bar for a swinging drawbar. The regular drawbar is U-shaped and mounts lower than that piece.

It's a mutt.

They combined A, AV, and Super A parts to make this tractor.

The seat support is probably off an A, as is the grille emblem. That's probably why they used A decals.

Engine and torque tube are definitely Super A.

The only things I see on it that are A, not Super A are a few decals and the front emblem. Other decals are Super A but not A (probably a "set" from Maple-Hunter). The front emblem is also in the wrong place. If they'd had an A grill, they might have found the holes in the right place. The seat for an A and Super A are the same, although a seat support from another tractor probably would have included a serial plate, which might say anything. The rear light bracket, attached to the seat support, is from a Super A. It appears to have Super A final drives.

Doesn't look like a mutt to me.
