Farmall Super C Hydraulics Question

Hello all,
I have rebuilt my hydraulic cylinder block and am ready to fill it up with oil. My question is in what position do the control valves and the pistons need to be in to fill with oil? All the way in? All the way out? Or somewhere in between?
Thanks for your help.

Ours is checked with arms back. When my brother & I were in school yet we checked the level with the arms forward, & filled the reservoir full. Next time lowering the cultivator, the frost [relief] plug blew out of the reservoir.

if the system is empty,
and SC has no vent,
fill with oil, with fill plug removed, start engine, idle.
operate the levers full range, back and forth 10 times or so
to bleed air. (sometimes it's messy)
Then, with pistons in the fully retracted position, add oil
to about 1/2" of the fill opening, and replace the fill plug.
