Had water shooting out the manifold, "Janicholson" suggested pulling the spark plugs and turn the motor over.....well, water shot out of the #3 cylindar. Going to pull the head and check for cracks, check the gasket. How do you check to see if the gasket is blown, is it visable? how do you tell if the head is cracked (obvious if its visable i know), can a machine shop repair it?

I would suspect the head is cracked or the gasket blown from running it too hot while it was plugged. Take the head to a machine shop and get it magnafluxed and surfaced. You cleaned the junk out that was plugging the leak.

I would also pull the side pan and lower hose to wash that out real good before you pull the head. You do not need to get al that crap down in the cylinders.

Most of the time if you have a blown head gasket you can see where the water has be blowing threw that area. Look for a place that has an odd looking clean area and or part of the gasket at the cylinder edge gone. As for a cracked head some can be seen easy others need to be magnafluxed
