water coming out of manifold/exaust, HELP!!

A good day just turned bad.....I flushed the coolent system, put new thermostat in, filled with vinager, ran it for about 25 minutes to see if it would get hot and it didnt go over 145-150 (it used to get hot after about 10 minutes)I was pumped...I noticed some vinager spitting out of a small hole in the manifold (I ordered a new manifold days ago because it is cracked at each bolt), when I started the tractor again after letting it sit for about a half hour it started pouring/shooting vinager out of the exaust pipe/muffler.

Does this mean I have a bad head gasket? the head was replaced by my father in law a few years ago...any ideas, suggestions, anyone know what the problem is?

thanks, anthony

Not sure if the exhaust studs go into the water jacket on that or not but if they do that could be the problem. Or you could have a cracked head or yes a head gasket of a cracked block. That is one of the problems you can run into when flushing and engine you find that the rust has filled in a hole some place and now the rust is gone and the hole is now open

If it sits a while, (an Hour) pull the plugs and turn it with the starter. If water spits out of a plug hole you know at least where to look.
Into the combustion chamber is almost always a head gasket. If not the head. Rarely the block. Jim

Look aty your manifold mounting flanges. Number the stud holes 1-6 left to right. Looking at itas if it wws mounted.
At number 2 and number 5 there are gaps/cracks about an 1/8 of an inch wide. Is that the crack you are talking about. The manifolds are made that way.

What tractor are you working on? I just replaced the exhaust manifold studs on a 1928 Regular and it was leaking like old faithful. I took them backout and put teflon pipe thread sealant on them and had no more water issues Hope this helps, Mark.

its definatly not the manifold, although it does need to be replaced, I have coolent in the #3 cylindar from a head gasket problem or crack im guessing, thanks for the help guys
