The radiator drain plug on the M is rounded off and I cant get to it without taking the radiator off, I just drained all the old coolent, filled it with vinegar, ran it for about 25 minutes and im letting it sit.....I am going to have to flush the system a few times but I would rather not pull the lower radiator hose and replace it every time, thats a serious PAIN IN THE REAR END.....can I flush the system by pulling the block drain plug, putting a hose in the radiator and running the engine? Any other suggestions are welcome, i dont want to do any damage to the engine/radiator....

Thanks, Anthony

Pull the block drain plug and then rig up a fitting so you can hook a garden hose to the block drain and let it flow for say 2 hours. Have the radiator cap off so it has some place to go. That way your back flushing the system or in other words making it flow back wards of what it does when running so it cleans it out real good. Then pull that hose and let the block drain and that will get at least 3/4 of the water out. Pour in 1 gal. antifreeze full strength then top off with a 50/50 mix and your good to go

All of my tractors had a 6" pipe and a pipe cap on it. Not real sure what is rounded off. I just use a small pipe wrench on it. If you can't get the cap off I'm sure the pipe will screw out of the radiator. It sure does whenever you want to try and save the coolant.
