544 hydro fuel system problem

I posted a while back about my 544 not running well. I have changed the filters and bled the air from the filters. It ran for a while and now will start but will not keep running. I suspect air in the system. My manual shows a bleed screw on top of the pump but my tractor does not have it. It is a Bosch pump that looks similar to the manual but does not have the bleed screw. How can i get air out of the system? or do I have another problem?

Hi, your 544 has a German D-239 Diesel engine.
The Bosch pump has no bleed screws, just loosen one of the injector lines at the rear of the pump and start engine. Becareful not to come in contact with the high pressure Diesel fuel from the injector line.
If after re-tightening the injector line, engine is still not running properly, check fuel flow from tank to fuel filters, then filters to injection pump. Some models had a steel braided fuel line between the injection pump inlet and the last fuel filter. This line can collapse inside and restrict fuel flow to pump. Another problem can be a blocked return fuel line.

Hope this helps
