I am thinking about putting a belt pulley on my a. Is it easy to do or a lot of time installing it. Not sure if i will use it but found a good one under 30.00. Just think it would be nice to have.

If you are talking about adding a pulley attachment to a tractor that already has a PTO, you need to adjust 2 stacks of shims to get the bevel gear mesh right. Otherwise it is no big deal. It is actually easier to change the whole PTO, which requires either draining the transmisison or parking it extremely downhill.

When you get the pulley attachment, be sure to get both bevel gears.

they also changed the assembly @ sn. 666671 and transmition case @39022 look on caseih .com & look at parts it might help

Your serial# is off a bunch as the last A # would be near 220,000 then came the SA

sorry Gene I put one extra six in there should have read 66671 . There are some differences that make some parts not useable between pto's & belt pulley .so be aware, stumper
