Super M Hydraulic Pump Removal

Hello,

I was wondering what steps I need to take in order to remove the hydraulic pump. Is it as simple as removing the bolt and lower the pump from the tractor? If not what other items to I need to remove or steps do I need to take?

Thanks for the help!

If you are speaking of the belly pump you will have to remove the activation arm on the brakes side. If it has tree plumbing on top, that will have to be removed. Underneath the transmission to pump coupler, if it is installed, will have to be removed. Then it is just the 4 bolts holding it. Get help to lower it. It weighs around 100 pounds!

(quoted from post at 14:29:14 06/17/12) Thank you for posting. I book marked that for the pictures. A picture is worth a 1,000 words!

I have done a modified method of that with a floor jack and two bolts with the heads cut off. I just put them on opposite corners. It actually helps line the drive coupler up when reinstalling since angle of the belly pump is so important on an M. On and H you just slap it in there when everything is in place so it is simple.
