This is my 48 H which I just finished painting. Its
been a working tractor since I bought it 10 years
ago and it will continue to work here on the farm.
No trailer queens for this farm boy. Just wanted to
get the old girl some new work clothes. The first
dog pictured is my Springer spaniel, Jake. The
picture with both dogs includes Mom's springer,
Kacie. I should also add that this is the first
tractor I've painted and I had never used a spray
gun before this project. Kippster

Holy Cow!! Sorry about the three-pete on that last picture. Still gettin the hang of posting pictures on here. Kippster

Glad you like the tractor and the dogs. Kacie is the biggest sissy that ever lived. I clap my hands real loud and she runs for cover. Jake LIVES to hunt and has NO fear of anything. He killed a woodchuck this am. We rescued him as a 2 year old. He will be 3 in July. Kippster

Found a few photos that have the H in "before" condition, the tractor is overshadowed by my daughters and their horses. Kippster

Thanks for the SHINY WARNING...I'm the one that usually gripes about people NOT giving a warning.

Ya done good!!

She looks great! New Idea front end loader? Looks like the one my H use to have before I had to junk it.

Very nice paint job. I think that is a McCormick #31 loader as it looks just like mine except that mine is rusty and has a plow blade instead of a bucket.

Thats a #31 loader. Zach nailed it. There are manure tines under that dirt pan and there is a snow plow that fits on there somehow. Haven't gotten to the plow yet. Kippster

Nice paint job. Do you leave the crank on all the time? I was in school yet & the battery in the SMTA wasn't too good--we had to hand crank the old girl. I cranked to start--of course it was a pain to get in with the #31 loader on---& as soon as the engine started, the loader started raising. Still don't know how I got out of there so fast. Anyway, the crank stub got bent since the crank didn't clear the loader frame which was going up. As I recall, the crank ended up flying about 150 feet. The crank stub is still bent yet.
I suppose that the extra length of the SMTA as opposed to an M lets yours clear where the SMTA wouldn't.
