Still 464 issues

Hey guys still working on getting a 464 to stay running. What it is doing is running for approx 50 seconds die and then is very hard to start again. We have replaced the fuel solenoid and there is fuel in the carb when it's running. Tank is pretty clean inside. We were thinking the possibility of the electronic ignition being bad or the valves are a bit tight. The carb has great suction on it and it runs great just not for very long. Thanks Jason

Running for 50 seconds. allows you to make the following experiment. It will place certainty in the diagnosis.
Take a used spark plug wire (any type will do)
use a utility knife to cut a wedge out of the insulation and notch the conductor so that it has a 1/8" gap. Connect this in place of the coil wire. This evening when it gets dark (or inside with covered windows) have someone start the tractor, and watch the spark. If the spark stops when the tractor does, it is ignition. If it continues strongly, the fuel delivery is at fault.
If it is fuel, i imagine it is the float needle and seet. Jim
