Farmall 450 lp vaporizer

I have a farmall 450 lp and when i bought it, it didnt have the original vaporizer and this vaporizer on it doesn't even have an idle adjustment. Does anybody know of a replacement vaporizer or aftermarket vaporizer that would work on the tractor? The tractor runs but it has to be almost fully choked for it to work.
 
I also have a 450 LP with an Ensign vaporizor, which I couldn't find a kit for. So, I took the Impco that I had been using on my John Deere 70, hooked everything up, and it runs like a dream!
 
Oh, I forgot to mention that Impco vaporizors can be had with about three different strength springs, which you replace by pulling the cover, I don't remember which side. For your 450, which is in the 50 horsepower range, you probably want to order the spring which is rated for about 40 hp ; when I used the original spring, the JD would barely run. Turns out the spring was rated for about 125 horsepower (that is, a very strong spring). Have fun with it!
 
Mine also has an impco but it is a model j with no idle adjustment which makes it impossible for my tractor to idle smoothly. I have to manually adjust the choke to even get it to run and if you idle it down or rev it up you have to get the choke just right. I have checked the timing which is spot on and i just want it to run without having it to be fully choked. If someone could give me any tips it would be much appreciated.
 
What I did was just go online and find out the phone number for an Impco supplier, and when I called & asked for Impco parts, I just told the guy that I wanted a spring that would handle my tractor's horsepower; they actually sent me a kit with three springs, and I installed the weakest one, and it has worked great on both my 46 horsepower John Deere 70 and on my 50-something horsepower Farmall 450. Good luck.
