TSC clearance on Valspar paint.

TSC is selling out all of their Valspar paint. The deals are only a couple bucks off right now, but knowing TSC next week they will be twice as cheap. I know the cheap stuff isn't that great, but it has it's place. They don't carry the restoration series anymore so not steals there.

Looks like they might be switching to Majic (sp - IIRC it wasn't spelled normally) No idea what it is all about, but it is probably junkier than cheap Valspar.
 
i just painted a fuel tank for a 574 intl for a customer. he brought in the majic paint , primer,hardener and thinner. shoots the same as valspar, i used an hvlp with a 1.7 mm tip gravity gun. yeah, i know, its inexpensive paint. looks better than it did, and it dont make much sense to hang a new chandelier in a haunted house!!
 
I hate to hear this. I have gotten excellent results and longevity from their restoration series paint although I would not recommend their regular tractor and implement paint.

I painted my I-4 with TSC Restoration Grade paint and it still looks great. I am trying to post a picture of it.

Same here ... only I am using the Majik rattle can IH red for those odd little braces and hangers under the cover.

It reminds me of the old epoxy paint .. takes like 3-4 days to cure well but it does hold tight with good coverage.

Once I move onto the sheet metal and frame I will be far more critical and start using a loaded spray gun and hardener. I like the glossy shine it leaves.
