another block question

Can a M block be bored to accept sleeves for a Super M, seems like there might be a few availabe around here if that can be done, is there any other differences between the two blocks?

Yes. Differences may include differences in journal diameters and wristpins, depending on serial breaks. Check with the parts diagrams, and measure what you have. (Always a good idea, the assumption syndrome is avoidable.) Jim

the C248 will take the 4" C264 piston without boring, going to 4 1/8" C281 requires boring.

But it can be done without ruining the block and having head gasket problems
