Farmall A Kerosene Manifold Missing Plug

Well, I bought the Farmall A. Have to go and get it in a couple of weeks. It has a kerosene manifold, as was standard in Australia. There should be a plug in the side of the manifold, but it is missing. Is there a solution to closing the hole (temporary or permanent) other than trying to track down a NOS plug? I'm new to Farmall A tractors, so I'll probably have plenty of questions for you all in the coming weeks. Thanks.

As I read this question, I was thinking of the vacuum tap just above the carb flange, just a standard pipe plug. Then I realized, kerosene manifold, there are plugs on both the front and back. If one of them is the plug in question, they are standard 7/8 Welsh plugs.

Next thought, there should be a stud on the outer side for holding the heat shield. If that stud is missing, I don't know if it is a through hole that would leak or not. If that is the missing plug, I'm sure it is a straight SAE thread, but I don't know the size.

In any case, you shoud be able to use standard hardware items. At least they are standard here, I don't know if they are standard in Australia.

So there are 3 different partial answers depending on how the question is interpreted.

Thanks! I'm picking up the tractor in two weeks. 7/8 welch plugs are easily found here, so I'll be able to stop it killing me with carbon monoxide!
