I just bought a 3388 changed all the filters and fluids and took her to the field to plant milo. I am using a no till hoe drill and it uses both remotes the tractor has one for the hoe rack and the other for a coulter rack the only way to lift either rack is to pull back on both remote handles and same with getting them to go in the ground. i wouldn't be such a concern for me but when i try to put them in the ground the hoe rack won't go all the way to the depth i set it at which ends up in seed being on top of the ground whih i feel will hurt my population unless it rains but it is western kansas so i doubt it. I am totally new to everything ih and articulated tractors as well I have enough on my plate figuring out how to drive this tractor and not make skips or overlaps without having to worry about whether i am planting seed or feeding birds so I would appriciate any help I can get thanks

Shouldn't have to pull both levers at the same time. Should be able to independently control each fuction. I don't want to make you mad but are the hydraulic hoses hooked up correctly? The two from one cylinder going to one remote and the other two to the other remote. Also maybe something is plumbed wrong on the drill. Have you used this drill before on another tractor?

Wouldn't be an old case man by any chance as they had hydraulic outlets with raise on one side and lower on other. Had a customer hook his planter that way one time to his IH as he was used to the Case.

The hydraulic ports are in an over-under configuration. The left two couplers are for the left remote lever. The right two couplers are for the right remote lever.

You also need to flip the levers next to each coupler so they point back at the hoses after you connect.

well Rufus you hit the nail on the head and boy do i feal silly and relieved the hoses were hooked up wrong, they are very long about 20 feet and all follow one beam of the drill hitch last night I traced the hoses several times but i guess a little panic and frustration had clouded my judgement and I didn't see it. this morning with a clear head i traced the hoses and found the problem about 10 minutes after I wrote the first message. Its just funny how when something is wrong it is almost always way worse in your mind than it really is. Thank you for the help im just glad my tractor works now if I could just make the ac work
