IHC Cream Paint

Does anyone have a source for the old IHC cream paint. The stuff that was on the yellow side of creamy. I have a Little Wonder 1 bottom plow and want to paint the rims. Thanks

Ace hardware has a "cream" that is not right, but their Cub Cadet white is reaal close. I use IH white 850.

I have read on this forum and in other places that there was not a specific color for the cream paint but IH used whatever was on hand or whatever could be purchashed for a deal. If someone has a better answer, I will stand down.

I doubt it. IH had 3 different versions of cream (at the same time) for different uses. Note this color chart from 1940 (from the WHS McCormick Archives). The first 3 chips in the second column are all cream. The second one was for farm machines.

I think that a real close match to the old "Harvester Cream" is NAPA"s #53 3736A, which I used on my #8 Little Genius plow.

The people at the IH Archives at Wisconsin Historical Society told me the old records for Harvester Cream have gotten lost thru the years.

Take a look at Dupont's paint chip cream YS315 to see if that's close. Hal

The Wisconsin archives list paint orders calling for an ochre color, almost a dirty yellow. I can remember that color used in late 40's early 50's on steel wheels, mowers, rakes, manure spreaders, plows etc. I can't find the real color in a paint, but the archives has a color chart listing ochre, but also more than one ochre. I use Versatile yellow.
