Guys, a while back I made mention of an unloved, unwanted....1966,, 656LP, aftermarket wide front, Factory no Fenders, Brand new tires all the way around just before the owner Passed! Then sat for 3 yrs..... that I acquired.
Had to use a Slide truck to get it home for the brakes were stuck.
After a good clean out of the Pan and oil pump what nastyness was in there, then new oil and filter. New points/condenser,plugs, wires, cap. And $95 of new LP tank valve repair kits and last of all 30 gal of LP
The old girl came back to life. The Steering works well the only problem is the 3-pt wont go down yet! but I will get that figured out shortly.
One brake broke loose as it came off the truck the other...Put it in gear 1 bump forward, 1 bump in rev and it came loose. Nice tin work no real problems there. All gears run out well too.
This old girl was heading for the crushers! If I hadn't acquired her!
Thought Y'all might like to hear about it.

A very nice save! Good to hear. Seems to be common at the moment, that many people send good things to the crushers. A nearby fire brigade (100% volunteer in this part of the world) was given all the old machinery and scrap on a farm. The land had been bought by a corporation and was being prepared for subdivision. Everything, good and bad had been pushed into heaps or left strewn around in old sheds. There were good seed drills, tractor parts and a 1909 Sunshine Header as well as cars, harrows, rollers etc. etc. The fire brigade lads were given a couple of days to turn it into cash, so it was all just crushed. A real shame. I managed to grab one or two items, but that was all.
