Buying a Farmall Cub?

I have an elderly "tractor buddy" who has always liked Green, but he has become very interested in owning a Farmall Cub, just because of the availability and reasonable price of the tractors and parts, and the ease of mounting and dismounting for him. Is there any certain year model that is better than others or anything he should avoid when shopping around for a Cub? Thanks for any recommendations!

A cub is a cub.The newer/later ones had some hydralic problems due to the fact that the tooling was getting old and worn...Remember,they are up to 65 years old.

All Cubs from begining to end were pretty much the same but rear wheel weights make a nice step for getting on and off. Also the delux seat is nice once you are sitting down but the old pan style seat is much easier to get in and out of. As for parts there is now more available than 25 years ago due to CNC machines and company's not having to make large production orders to be profitable. Check out Farmall Cub Forum good spot for Cub affectionado great folks over there who can answer any questions.
