super c 12 volt conversion

I was just wondering if anyone knows of someone that
sells a 12 volt conversion kit for a super c. Or any
pointers that would help in a conversion. Thanks a lot.

Super C is about the easiest to convert because the generator is right out there in the open. You don't have to do any fabrication or figure out how to tuck the alternator under the hood.

Save yourself money on a kit. You don't need it. The generator is easy to mount, and there are plenty of references online for wiring it up.

Bob M diagrams will help. see the reference to alternator conversion. If it has a mag, do not connect the system to the mag or switch at all. Jim

Years back, I did a 12V conversion on a Super C for an old high-school buddy. Used the 12V generator and regulator off an old Rambler that I had parted out, swapped out the bulbs, and reversed the wiring on the ammeter since we went from positive to negative ground.

Hardest part was swapping the wires on the back of the ammeter...so it was a fairly easy job.
