Super A crank placement

Getting this Super A put back together. It didn't have the hand crank clip, so I got one and put it on the driver's side of the transmission top as seen in the parts book. Now that I have the fenders and seat bracket in place, there is no place for the crank to lay down. I've tried several configurations, but something is in the way and won't let it lay down. Does someone have a pic or can they explain where the crank clip is supposed to be and what position to put the crank so that it lays flat and not up against a fender or seat bracket.

The only picture I've seen is with the handle through the bracket hole so that the handle end hangs down under the seat.

i think this is how they mount all i have is a super c hand crank to go by didn't get one with my super a

When new the crank handle went forward and the handle was over the top of the Battery box on the A and B but i dont have a SA so would it go there also?

Gene has it right as that is how my B is.

Here is the way mine lays on the A. May not be proper so I'm going to check out the way Gene says it should be.
