you can put a large 6/8 ply boot in there to get you buy. I have one with a hole that large and has been going for 5 or 6 years that way not a prob. If applied correctly its amazing how long they will last.
my thoughts if you cant find a used one soon.

Andrew

Cut a piece from a lawn mower back tire and glue it on the inside. Stick a new tube in it while the glue is fresh and run about 25 lb of air in it for a few days.

Yea,Try "Booting" that tire by a GOOD tire man first.

BTW,The sheet metal on that Case is SWEET!!! I would love to see some new "Dessert Sunset" and "Mesa Sand" sprayed on that dude! ;)

Find a tire shop that can vulcanize it and it will last a long long time. A boot only it only a bandaid.

Andrew I have had two old goodyears that are over 20 years old vulcanized and they are holding up good. Next week I have a firestone that I have owned for a long time and someone booted it and it is starting to open up and it will get vulcanized also. 100 dollars to repair a tire is better then buying new.
