Still farming with the old stuff

We baled several hundred bales last weekend. Had to bring out the arsenal of old school stuff to get the job done.

Nice to see them used. Looks lighter than stuff around here. Heavy growth if the ground would dry enough to get it up.

Great pictures, brings back alot of fond memories of growing up on not 1 but two different uncles farms, Thanks for sharing!

Nope, that's hi-tech; sulky rake, fork it all over the top into the old hay wagon, then hay-tong it up into the barn, drop it and pitch-fork it over into the right pile. That's the old way... thank goodness never again.

Yep, recall it so well !! Great. I still have
a 7 foot fast hitch mower usable on a Super C, or
a 350, nice for mowing alfalfa around here.....

Looks like you're going to have plenty of help farming. My brother and I left the farm during the Korean War for the military. The farm was too much for my dad as he was in his late 60's
he got out of farming and worked for a chemical company. He had a college degree in Ag. I'm still gardening with an old Troy Bilt tiller and a 41 year old garden tractor. Hal

I still have a 1971 140 H3 JD garden tractor I still "farm" with. Kind of out of commission right now... anyone have a [u:88496a3943]Koehler[/u:88496a3943] carb for a 321 14 hp engine? Darn Walbro replacement has never worked right.
