IH 27 baler weight of baler?

I just bought a old 27 baler time to come home any one know the weight i will be towing and were these good balers thanks

less than 3,000lbs i can pick one up with a 5520 jd and its lift cap is 3,000lbs claimed

Thanks for the info I am going to pull it with a nissan frontier just was wondering if it would push me bad but i think i will have no problem stopping it

You're not going to be going over 25MPH or so, right?

Unless your Nissan is in really bad shape, it should have no problems handling and stopping that baler at low speed.

We bought a 27 new in 1969, still in the wagon house in moth balls. Until the baler was replaced, she made bales that were very stackable(tight), saleable and we had no problems with the knotter. Keep the knives on the knotter sharp and adjusted!
