got my 2nd tractor about 3 months ago (1st was a david brown 990) found out it is a international 806 utility not farmall kind of a rare one, i am having a hard time finding parts for the front end,has the IH built wide adjustable front end, only a few parts will cross over on the front,no other IH,or swarzth parts will fit, still looking

It's not a utility, it's a wheatland, not particularly rare. IH had wheatlands long before they started making utilities, which are much smaller to compete with the Ford 8N. Anyway, give Mike Bunck a call at Steel Wheel Ranch,785-548-7437. He is a dealer for A&I, and about any other company, which makes some of the parts. If not, and if he doesn't have any, he will know more about availablility than anyone.

sorry to tell you cnks but the tractor is a utility according to the case/ih dealer, has a three point hitch and 2 remotes, the front end is lower to the ground looks like a drag racer, low in the front and high in the rear, adjustable front axle, and rear wheels, the spindle housing are 10" long verses 12" or more on the standard frontend

It could possibly be an industrial but it is NOT a utility. The only utility that IH made in the 06 series was the 606.

How do you tell if a dealer doesn't know what he's talking about?

His lips are moving.

Sorry to tell you, I williams, there is no such thing as an 806 Utility.

It's a wheatland, industrial, or not an 806.

ok 1 more time my 806 international is a utility according to the CASE/IH dealer,it is a row crop tractor not industrial, they looked up the model and serial numbers off my tractor. international did make a 806 utility mine is a 1966 year model, think i will believe the CASE/IH dealer, they have been in buisness for 70 years, have all the books and info for the older tractors !!!!!!

Have them show you the book that says it's an 806 Utility. Take pictures. Post them here. This is something that none of us has ever heard of.

I've been around IH tractors for 60 yrs & this is a new one on me. Please post some pics of this 806 "utility" for those of us who have never seen, or heard of one.

Personally, I call BS!! Prove me ,& everyone else wrong. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousabd words.

Sorry, your dealer is wrong. You have a tractor that has been modified by someone to look like a utility. Talk to Guy Faye or Ken Updike. There is and never was an 806 utility. It wouldn't be the first time someone at a dealership misinformed a customer. Don't you think one would have surfaced at a Red Power Roundup by now? Think about it. A 100 HP utility tractor in 1966? I don't think so.

Again, it is not a utility, your CaseIH dealer could have been a Case dealer at the time of the merger, mine is. Anyway the dealer is wrong, the people who knew could even be dead by now.

ok this is what i have found out so far, the origional owner ordered a standard 806 international then had the dealer to use IH parts to make it a utility, the frontend is all original IH parts that the dealer used.

Sounds like you need to identify what model tractor the dealer used the front end off of to convert it to a "utility" and that that should make it easier to find replacements. As you've found out, asking for replacement parts for a model that never existed doesn't work, since what you have is a one-off custom build.

If the front end is adjustable, it's probably the "standard" row crop front end.

On the International/Wheatland/Industrial version, the front end is NOT adjustable (IIRC) and is located part way back underneath the engine. The front tires don't protrude (much) beyond the front of the tractor (if at all).

On the Farmall/row-crop, the axle tube is roughly even with the front of the front bolster of the tractor. About half of the front tire is ahead of the front of the tractor.

the front tires are even with the front of the tractor the spindle housings are only 10" tall verses the taller standard spindle housings, the tractor sits low in the front,i don't see any way to reverse the front end to bring the front axle out, looks like a 1 off dealer modified tractor, all front end parts have IH numbers.
