got the horses out of the stable

Got all the tractors out and cleaned all the winter dirt off them. Getting them ready to go to a show or two. Just finished refurbishing the 400. Turned out nice. Just thought everyone might enjoy looking at a few nice farmalls and a lone MF. The MF belonged to my father in law so had to keep it. I know some of you like them better in their work clothes but sometimes they look good in their sunday best. Enjoy Larry

Nice row of old girls . I understand about the inlaws tractor I have 2 1950 Case DC's that were the father in laws and the wife says I gotta keep them . They are a nice change from the reliable red machines! Kenny

All you need is an F-30, and a 560 to fillout the set.While you're at it...806,856,966,986...Good lookin'tractors!!

The F30 wasnt replaced by the M, the F20 was. (Wont argue that, just stating the way it was)Besides, he doesnt have any of the one you mentioned there.....

Yeah, but the F30 doesn't have any parts or design commonality with the M. Super M, MTA, 400, 450, and 560, though, are direct lineage.

"In any event, IH sale literature instucted its dealers to sell the H as a replaement for the F-12. Meanwhile, they were to promote the A/B as an entirely new tractor, which was certainly true, and sell the M as a replacement to the F-20"

Guy Fays Originality Guide, Page 59 , 2nd paragraph, last sentence.

Also, someone on here, maybe Guy, said why would you replace a tractor with one of less HP!!!

NICE Bunch of RED there,But wait a minute!! One of these tractors is NOT like the others???? "Duck,Duck,Duck,Duck,Duck,Duck, GOOSE???? lol :)

Very nice fleet you have there!

You wouldn't happen to have a better picture of the hydraulic valve setup on the SM? I haven't seen valves installed there before, from a distance it's looks pretty clean.

Still trying to figure out what I'm going to so with my SM.

Thanks,

K

Beautiful collection.

And very wise to keep the sacrificial massey there in place to protect them against crazy drivers coming up your drive etc.

you have to be careful housing those different breeds of tractor together all winter. Story is that a few years back someone housed an Ih and Case together and look what happened.

I'll try and get a picture tomorrow of the
hydraulics on the super m. It is a live pump going
thru what I think is a double set of char-lyn
valves. The M has the same set-up with a live pump.
Both also have char-lyn power steering.

Here's a couple pictures each of the M and the
Super M. The first 2 pics are of the M using the
belly pump as a reservoir. If you need better pics
let me know and I'll try to get some.

Thanks, the SM I am currently "restoring" had a similar setup, yours is a LOT neater.

Thanks.

I have a Char-Lynn valve like the ones on on your M. I kind of like how they are mounted on the M, never thought about putting them up on the bell housing.

At least I have more ideas now.
