1951 c lift arms

MY lift arms are in the forward position. I need to remove the starter but the arms are in the way. Moving the tractor or starting it is not an option. Any ideas? thanks

Can you post a picture? I can't imagine how the arms could be in the way in any position... They're above the starter.

No. I am not that handy with these things. The problem is that I can not get a wrench on the back starter bolt.

Get a different wrench or pull the arm off.

You sure dont have a very good set of wrenches as i dont have any problem removing the starter from the C with arms forward.
