1951 Super C Hydraulics Question

Hello all,
I am installing a rebuild kit in the hydraulic block of my super c. I can't figure out how and where the Control valve oring (item 31-350672R1 in the parts book) goes in the block. What holds it in place? It didn't have one when I disassembled it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
GaryinAl

That o ring fits in a groove on the control spool which there are two of. This would be the small spools that connect to the linkage.
The hyd valve manual advises to install the spools from the rockshaft end of the valve body and after the rear end cover is installed. This will keep you from pushing the spools in too far and damaging the o ring.
The parts picture does not show the control spools because they can not be servised separately.
I just completed this project on my C.
good luck
Dennis

Hi Dennis. Thanks for the info. That explains it. I thought it went on the spool somewhere closer to the head end of the spool. I had an oring on the other end. Thanks again,
Gary
