Odd problem with my BA

Ya it is part B part A so that is why I call it a BA. Any how I was out mowing hay and right after I did a couple donuts on a copper head it went another 25 feet or so and dies. Has fuel and spark from the coil wire. Checked spark at the plug wires and no spark. I have not gone back out to see if another rotor or cap will fix it or not. Have a couple old rotors laying around and hope the cap off a MM RTU will fit if the rotor does not fix it. It was running real nice then all at once just stops like some one turned it off. Will post back later when I find the problem

Look for fang marks on one of the tires. Sounds like your tractor done got snake bit! :lol:

Seriously though, maybe you stirred up some sediment in the tank and it stopped up the line, the sediment bulb or even the carb itself. I know you said it has gas, but is it getting into the carb?

My SA did the same thing, in my case it was the ignition switch.

Bad rotor was the problem as I figured it would be. Put in another rotor and off it went

Think about it. A bad ignition switch would not give you fire from the coil wire but no fire at the plug wires. Bad rotor was the problem

Hundreds of similar posts on this forum, I usually just scan them. The only thing that caught my eye was: "It was running real nice then all at once just stops like someone turned it off". Sometimes it catches up with me. So I didn't "think about it".
