Got one at an auction. Has straight 6 cyl. Where would the engine ID be located to see what CI and type it is? Drove it 50 miles home with no breaks, but it ran and drove great.

I don't remember where the id is but I would think it is a Black Diamond 308.

There should be a flat space on the upper right side front of the block with the information stamped into it.

See if it still has line sheet. It should be on the back of sun viser or take everything out of glove box and pull totally out it could be on back side of it. If it has the line sheet it will tell what the truck came with from the factory.

I did find that, finally!!! it says BD 282 and a serial number below it. It is on the front of the block about halfway down on a thin flat spot. Thanks all. getting new door glass for this truck and getting ready to harvest wheat with it.
